It's a springy bit of plastic cable that saves you causing damage to you bike if you're a numpty and forget you've got a disc lock fitted.

Good reminder but I find they don't last long

Generally with these reminders, I find that the "spring" in the cable goes and then they're a pain as they don't coil up and are more difficult to store compactly. These are a low cost version especially at the SBS price so at least doesn't cost too much!

Ideal reminder to not drive away with a disc lock on. So easy to forget when in a hurry or distracted - having this little device attached to the lock and clutch lever should prevent a potential disaster!

I do think the if you are putting a disk lock on your bike this is absolutely necessary, those things kill your mudguards! But putting one of these on will stop that and save you a fortune.

Having bought a disc lock needing one of these was a given. It'll only be occasional use for when it's not chained to death at home or work so it's longevity will be difficult to judge regarding resistance to sunlight and rain but as I say with a disc lock you'd be daft not to have one
