Bell's timeless classic helmet with snap-on peak and modern lining
The legendary Bell Moto III helmet is back, with faithfully reproduced looks and modern safety approvals. The Moto III is an absolute design classic that's become so widely copied over the years that it made sense for Bell to do the job properly themselves. And they've done it brilliantly. The fibreglass shell with eight slash-cut chin vents and five-stud flat peak is topped off with colours and decals that match the original. The D-ring strap fastener and removable, washable comfort lining give it a more modern feel on the inside but the look is 100% authentic. It'll fit beautifully with the emerging dirt track inspired bikes like Ducati's Scrambler and is fully approved for road use and even racing, where it will be a hit with classic racers. The Moto III was originally released in 1979 and revolutionised motocross helmets. The vivid colours and dramatic full-face design was a world away from the open-face lids worn by most off-road riders of the day, and looked more like something from a film than from a shop. It established Bell as the off-road helmet of choice and led the way for the series of Moto helmets that's now up to the Moto 9. Times have changed, but good style never goes out of fashion - and it's good to have the Moto III back.

Excellent liner comfort with an accurate fit, I'm a large in my other lids and the Bell was a great fit straight out the box.
Works well with both my 100% and Oakley goggles.
Bit of a fiddle if you wear glasses.
Lighter than I thought, and wind noise is acceptable considering the wide aperture and peak.
All in all a superb lid at a great discounted price.

Then this helmet will tick the boxes. Super lightweight, supremely comfortable and completes the modern classic/retro look.
Unfortunately, that look, for me at least, is of a tall, fat man, trying to be 16 again. Its a pathetic image I can assure you.
In all seriousness, a really fantastic helmet, coupled with the flawless service of Sportsbikeshop makes for one excellent midlife crisis.

Very pleased with this helmet, the finish is excellent.
Comfortable lining.
The solid peak (as expected) pulls at speeds over 50mph.
Personally I find it noisy but it is an 'open' helmet so earplugs are a must.
Superb service from Sportsbikeshop as well.
