John Doe Boots

Hi folks, these boots took a while to purchase as they were out of stock for 2 months. I'm very happy with my boots and I found you folks very helpful and kept me upto date as I'd paid in advance. Thanks guys.

Great Doc style boot (though classed as a ladies boot would describe look and style as more unisex as looks nice on either) robust, waterproof and very comfy and snug fit. Ideal for summer riding or just general wear.

I love these - OK, so white may not be everyone's choice (as they are likely to dirty up easily) but matched with a pair of blue riding jeans and a brown leather jacket and they complete the retro look. Light and comfy on the bike (OK, not 100% comfortable walking but fine for normal daily use), I also love the zip function - no more laces to do up which gets me on the bike quicker. I would highly recommend these boots.

I ride an R18 Classic which suffers from quite a lot of vibration through the foot plates. I usually wear Falco Rangers which are my favourite touring boots but they have poor vibration resistance which becomes annoying after an hour or so. Then I noticed the John Doe Falcon boots on the SBS website which claim to reduce vibration through the boot soles so I decided to give them a try. And they really do absorb vibration.
These new boots fitted perfectly from the onset but because I have rather thick ankles the laces were a tad short. New longer laces later and the problem solved.
I have ridden in these boots for a few hours now and they are already as comfortable and supportive as my current Ranger boots They are a little stiff around the ankle protection area but they should soften up with more use.
I don't know how water resistant the leather is on these boots so I have given the leather and gusseted tongue 2 good coatings of Duckwax as a precautionary measure.
These boots are quite stylish and even though mine are a size 12.5UK they don't look like huge clog hoppers.
Overall I am delighted with this purchase.
