Supple Back Protector

Bought this for a Merlin jacket and it fits a treat.Soft and miable and hardens on impact this protector is great value for money.

I didn't realise when I purchased an Oxford textile jacket that a back protector was an extra, as the jacket represented such good value I should have done. However the Oxford protector supplied and delivered by Sportsbikeshop was reasonable priced and delivered with their customary efficiency.

Snug insert

Bought to fit in my Oxford riding shirt. Fits perfectly, comfortable and unobtrusive.
Feels a nice quality, slightly soft to the touch. Velcro strip is a nice touch to make sure it stays in place but isn't really needed in my use.

Effective and good value

I have two of these, one in an Oxford jacket and the other in an RST and both fit readily into both despite different pocket sizing and attachment systems. I am glad to say I have not tested them and hope never to do so!

Prefer it to level 2 protector

It's lost a star as the velcro srrip hadn't been put on straight so doesnt line up with velcro in jacket. Its a bit thinner and more comfortable than the level 2 protector which made the back of my Oxford Dakar stick out a bit too much, but I suppose thats what you get with a more substantial protector - it's a balance of comfort v safety. But overall good.

Bought this to go in an Oxford jacket I purchased. There is the choice of 2. One is a level 1 the other a level 2. There is only a few quid between them so it's up to you which you have. The level 2 is only slightly thicker with a different pattern on it.

Fits well and is very comfortable. Being level 1 protection it is obviously at the low end but as a back protector it will work fine and better than having nothing. I dont hope you need it but I'm sure if I do it will do a job for me. For the price, piece of mind, comfort and the level of protection it offers it is perfect. Well done Oxford.

It's soft, doesn't restrict movement and you barely feel it's there, just how it should be. Haven't crash tested luckily, but hopefully it works.

Good back protector

I needed a back protector for my Oxford Mondial jacket. I tried the RB Pi2 but found it too bulky and uncomfortable. So swapped it for this RB Pi1. It's nice a d flexible once warm and a lot more comfortable. It fits the jacket well (I guess it should really!) and velcros in place.
Only gripes are that it is still not as unobtrusive as other jackets/protector combinations I have (e.g. Rukka, Daniese) and it's quite short so doesn't reach down to lower back.
Overall though I'm pleased with it, though haven't tested its protection in anger!

Does what it says on the tin, although it really should have come with jacket. At least it fitted no bother and is comfortable to wear . You can't however dispute the efficiency of Sportsbikeshop. Good job there isn't one in NE I'd be skint!
