Racer Heat 4 Glove - Black

Excellent customer service. Gloves are good quality not to bulky & the fit is good. Problem is you can't, at the moment, get replacement batteries, even Racer themselves don't have them in stock. Found one place on EBay but cost £59 and they're in France so because of transportation rules delivery could be an issue. Check your batteries are ok.

I read one of the other reviews on here about the build quality and battery cover material being poor; perhaps it was based on a previous model - these gloves are very well made, in my opinion. Even with the battery power switched off, these gloves provide good insulation - quite thick and sturdy. I used them this morning for an hour's commute at 04:30 on the lowest setting at motorway speeds: my face and crotch were cold, core beginning to chill, but my hands were not - like they were at room temperature. Ideal. Recommend.

Whilst the quality of the product is excellent, the issues lie in the design. The cuff is too tight, cannot get over any jacket safely and in comfort. The heat is negligible. You need to buy a second set of batteries...and at Forty something pounds, that takes a potential cost of the gloves to over £200. I've sent them back, very disappointed on the product, but not with the shopping experience. Still going to use you for all things bike.

Screen wipe on thumb is useless
Wrist protection rubber is for show only

Bad;
The tab on the wrist closure strap is bare crimped-on metal. Really nasty quality, hard to get hold of, and easy to scratch something with.
No wrist adjustment, so too tight to go over jacket, too bulky to go under jacket.
Lining feels like its going to come loose any moment - even with taking them off very gingerly every time.

Overall - not the quality I was hoping for at close to £300! My Held (no electric) gloves are far, far superior.

Am not expecting any gloves to completely block out the cold.

I've been wearing them at temps below 2 degrees.

At low speeds, commuting around town and for journeys that last about an hour, they do very very well. They keep yr palms toasty as well as the top of yr hands. Even at higher speeds, 40 - 50 mph they still work.

I ran them while on the motorway (60 - 90 mph) but i had to crank up the heat setting.

They come with 1 set of batteries and if you need to crank up the setting over a couple of hours, I would suggest an additional set of batteries. The cabling is ready for that.

Easy to use, even while on the move (if you really have to). Good pair of gloves, not bulky. So far so good.
