Merlin Shenstone Air Textile Jacket - Black

Excellent jacket for the summer / spring. This is the first jacket I have tried that really helps with warm temperatures as it allows air flowing through the jacket, while also maintaining the usual safety protections. Comfortable to wear and looks good too.

Excellent product for hot summer days

I wanted a safe summer jacket, so I done a bit of research. I had never really heard of Merlin but this jacket kept popping up in all good reviews. So I took a punt and bought it, SBS price matched it as I found it cheaper else where. Well I love it, it feels heavy but feels light on and very comfortable. The liner is good for cooler mornings and without the liner you get a good air flow through the jacket without compromising safety. It looks good as well.

This is my third jacket from British brand Merlin and it's another great product. The Shenstone is a really good summer jacket that flows the air through nicely. It has a removable liner - not often seen on mesh jackets - which when installed offers a level of wind and water protection which is just exactly what you need with our unpredictable weather. The quality of the zips, fasteners and material is first class. Overall a really great jacket at a very reasonable price

This is a very stylish jacket for scrambler type bikes. Construction looks good and it fits really well. I've only used it without the lining so can't vouch for its water resistance. It flows air really well so fantastic on warm days. Plenty of pockets.

Others have said it's sized large, but I've found it perfect. I'm a 41 chest at 5'8" and the 42 is really a tailored fit.

Two improvements: it needs a second set of straps at the elbows to secure the armour and the collar would be better with a more adjustable closure like the old belstaff neck buckle.

I've been wanting a wax jacket for a while and nearly bought the Merlin Perton. When I saw the Shenstone, I thought it was the a great mix of looks and practicality. The airflow works great and the armour is not intrusive. Best jacket I've bought for ages.

Excellent jacket that does the job superbly. Quite heavy in weight but that actually adds to how confident you feel that this jacket will actually protect you should you need it. Superbly positioned armour that is removable as is the internal lining. I am usually a large in normal size but the extra large fitted me spot on. Can't recommend this jacket enough. Excellent service provided by sportsbikeshop in changing my previous choice for this one, really glad I did.

I bought this for spring/summer use so not used riding yet. The fit is right for the size I ordered and the quality is excellent and stylish
