SENA SMH5 Bluetooth Headset & Intercom with Universal Microphone Kit - Dual

The Sena SMH5 gives me all I need on the bike. Most importantly to me is voice directions from my phone GPS. Phone calls are easy to make & receive and sound quality is good enough for music should I want it.
The device is simple to set up and use with the controls easy to find with gloves on.
I don't use as an intercom with companion riders so can't comment on that.
The price is fair & as always, SBS delivered very quickly.

The Sena is really Brilliant for being linked to your phone for calls, music, satnav or communication between you and your passenger. Sound quality is very good and clear for a basic system and price you can't go wrong. I would recommend to anyone.

Great headset for my purpose, various fitting options and fitted well into my Caberg Duke II helmet. Easy to pair with my android, good clear reception from phone and intercom and controls easily accessed and operated with a gloved hand. Of course superb service as usual from SBS.

Basic but does what I need without complication.

Great quality, fairly straightforward to fit, lots of parts to adapt to most helmet types, simple to operate.

I bought these to replace another brand that had given up. They are great to speak to each other, for sat navs or calls but a bit tinny for music. You can hear the music well and it doesn't block external nosies for safety. Easy to use with twist dial. Had a little trouble setting them up to work together but once done very easy to use.

It is well made and offers two options of helmet mounts. The wiring was easy to install in two different helmets. It works well as rider and pilling but is severely limited when rider to rider. More than 50m separation and it becomes impossible to hear properly. I should have gone for the more expensive option of a mesh system.

Read other reviews and thought it would be perfect for my week's holiday with my mate.
It was brilliant! Can't believe how clear it was and the distance between bikes was impressive! Wind noise from the helmets did not interfere with the clarity.
I really can't see why anyone would want a more expensive intercom.
I received a phone call while riding at 60mph and the caller didn't believe I was riding my machine!
To round up…great quality and a super price! Buy one! Great bit of kit!

Many have said the speakers are not loud enough. I can still hear say nav directions even with earplugs. But it needs to be on maximum volume. Music can be indistinct depending on your speed. On motorways don't bother as wind roar drowns out any sound even with a quality screen fitted. Fitting instructions are appalling and when I tried to download the full instructions from the Sena website it failed each time. Finally, the YouTube video is rushed and makes it look far easier to fit than it is.

Simple and solid product but it does not fit my Shoei Hornet helmet. Speakers are not the same size as the helmet's nest.

Bought this for my spare helmet and as expected from Sena the item was very good quality. Easy to install with comprehensive instructions. Sound is clear and connection to my phone was a doddle. Intercom has good range on the road and can be used at motorway speeds. On the whole great first system and definitely worth the money.

Fits into helmet OK, although one wire to near ear piece is a little short. Can't hide it under material as much as I'd like. Need it to take answer calls as and when required and for sat navigation routes. Would recommend for the price feels good quality. Sound quality not the best for music but don't intend using for this....I am a acoustics snob and have to have perfect clarity equip for music so may be OK for others.
