Daytona Roadstar Pro Gore-Tex Boots - Black

No word can replace the description of quality and comfort .. You have to assume, come to see for yourself, I definitely recommend it :-)

The Daytona Roadstar Pro boots are a high quality product, constructed to a high standard and providing all the safety features that you want in a boot of this type. They are comfortable out of the box, fit well and easy to put on and take off. They look like they will give many many thousands of miles of use

So so so disappointed with these boots. I have had two pairs of Daytona Road Star both of which were superb. However, their soles eventually wear out hence I purchased the pro's without any hesitation. Unfortuanately Daytona have changed their ankle protection and they are extremely uncomfortable in certain areas. If I hadn't assumed they were going to feel like my previous two pairs I would have sent them back. Unfortunately I just booted up and rode. I'm now faced with a £400 boots which distract when riding something I believe Daytona explicitly try to avoid in their product. Gutted.

Like any handmade boot, the quality is clear right out of the box.
Despite being rather stiff at first, they've softened up a bit in the 1000 miles or so I've done in them.
Having ridden in some terrible weather conditions, from heavy rain to near freezing temperatures, the boots have kept my feet comfortable and dry. The duel calf adjustment makes for a perfect fit regardless of calf size or thickness of socks and the duel zips make entry and exit a breeze. Having previously used 'adventure' style boots for extra protection these surpass my old boots and make them feel like they're made of cheese.
I'd been debating buying a pair for years and now I have I wonder why I waited so long. Best motorcycle boots I've ever owned,

I'll start with the good. These are high protection boots. Lots of padding in all the right places. The leather feels high quality. The soles are nice and sticky. The problem with these boots is the sizing. I'm only speaking for size 47. 47 is my normal size. 46 is too small. The innovative adjustable calf is useless. I muscular calves. Using the smallest size adjustment I am still a looser than I should be. Additionally the leather doesn't look to be cut correctly to fit the shape of your foot. There is an unreasonable amount of room over the top of the foot. Even with my thickest winter socks there is far too much space.
Additionally there's too much leather on the inside of the foot. When you stand it bulges outward making the boot look like space boots. I'm sure what they are doing at Daytona for a boot this expensive to fit this poorly.

These are an excellent very well made quality boot. Only worn then twice. Great fit. Mostly worn in fair weather with a bit of a shower. So far no complaints. Warn and reasonably comfortable, consideting straight out of the box. Just rubbing a bit on left ankle. But confident that will go once fully broken in. Only gave 4* as not had them long. Would i recommend them to someone else. Yes. If you want an high end quality boot these have to be on your list to try.
