Daytona Road Star Gore-Tex Boots - Black

Love these boots. Yes they are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Perfect fit nice and snug. Ankles feel very protected and they give me better feel when foot down as I'm a short arse with the slightly thicker sole.

I decided to pay a bit more for the boots, what a great decision I made. So comfortable, I could sleep with them on. Many thanks

Quality boots at an excellent price

I've had many makes of boots in 45yrs of riding and before these had used TCX which I've found excellent, these are 50% dearer so was sceptical but so far have been very impressed with the comfort and fit I did read others have had trouble with the zips and can understand why, I lubed the zipper which helped a bit, but the zip puller needs to be bigger or have a tag to help grip it better as it needs a good tug to get it started but once round the "bend" it's fine, they are very well made and I can see them lasting probably longer than my riding career if looked after correctly so probably the last boots I'll ever buy haha

Well, the reviews were right!! A vast improvement on some Dainese Goretex boots I bought years ago when my previous pair lost one sole when I visited a bikeshop. The Dainese weren't bad (or I'd have replaced before now), but these are just SO much more comfortable. My feet feel much more secure and no breaking-in required at all - a rarity... Thoroughly recommend and they ARE worth the extra.

These boots are comfortable to walk in the Stiff from the bridge of the foot to the ankle at the front , because I don't wear long socks with my boots the stitching rubs on my shin a little the outside zip is little bit of fiddling to zip up You have to get the angle of your foot to your leg right for the zip to zip up properly and easily but having said that I do feel a very good boy may have to adjust the gear lever slightly because of the what is the stiffness of the boot not a full rotation of the foot

No need to wear in, these boots have subtle leather and were very comfortable from their first use.
Just back from hot weather tour in Spain and torrential rain in UK. No leaks, no sweat in either climate extreme. The Double zips makes it easy to get the boots on and off, and you can see the quality of the manufacturing going into their production.

I usually don't learn from the 'buy cheap buy twice' meme. I don't particularly like the look of the boots, and they are so expensive but... they are the best. Why? So, so comfortable, completely dry in any conditions, allow full days in torrential rain without a second thought. And there you have the reason fo this purchase.... you never have to think about them again. They just work, always, I just concentrate on the ride. I know of others who have had them for 20 years... they're gonna last a long time, probably longer than me. Recommended.

With out doubt the best boots I have ever had. The description was excellent & they fit like a glove. I am UK44 & I bought that size, they fit perfectly & are very comfortable when walking & riding. After much deliberation over the expensive price tag I am very pleased to have bought a pair off boots I feel will last years. SBS delivered them the next day, great service.

These are quite expensive boots, but I have no regrets about spending double what my last boots cost. The zips are sturdy and long so the boots are easy to get on. They were initially quite uncomfortable on the sides of the ankle, but have sorted themselves out now. And obviously they were delivered really really quickly.

Quality product. Super comfortable. I can't comment on dryness at the moment but it's goretex, so I really don't think there's much to fear!

This is the second pair of these boots I've bought after the first pair wore out a few years ago. I tried different boots from other manufacturers but they're not a patch on these which are comfortable straight out of the box. The boots have good adjustment for your calfs, warm enough in winter with a decent pair of socks and comfortable to walk around in while in a tour. The boots are well made and completely waterproof and even polish up well. I won't bother trying other brands when these do wear out!
