Achieving a 4.6-star average from the first 73 reviews, the Bell MX-9 Adventure MIPS helmet impresses customers with its true-to-size fit and the wide field of vision offered through the visor. Some reviewers say earplugs are needed as the helmet can be quite noisy at higher speeds, and most are in agreement that it would benefit from an internal sun visor and a Pinlock outer visor, rather than just an anti-mist coating.

Arai Tour X4

There’s a price premium when you buy an Arai, but Sportsbikeshop customers are convinced the price tag is worth it. They say the Tour X4 is comfortable straight out of the box and gave it an impressive average of 4.9 stars from the first 201 reviews. The quality of the lining is sumptuous and combines with three shell-size options to boost comfort. Large vents on the top, chin and brow of the visor allow maximum airflow.

Nexx X.WED 2

Many of the Sportsbikeshop customers who have purchased the X.WED 2 are buying it as an upgrade to its predecessor – the XD1, and say it’s even better than the first. The Nexx’s 4.8-star average from its first 64 reviews comes from customers who were pleased with the amount of cool air sucked in through the forehead vents, the ease of integration with an intercom and the amount of extras that are included (camera mounts, different chin curtains etc).

Shoei Hornet ADV

The Hornet ADV is packed with features to improve it over the previous DS model. It has emergency-release cheekpads and an improved visor mechanism, which allows for quick and tool-less removal and replacement. It comes in four shell sizes for a more tailored fit and has channels for added spectacle-friendliness. Sportsbikeshop customers praised the Shoei’s fit, and gave it 4.7 stars from the first 46 reviews.

Nolan N70-2 X

The Nolan N70-2X is an incredibly versatile helmet thanks to the removable chin piece, visor and peak, which impressed several customers. Owners of this helmet have been happy with the comfort, quality and field of vision afforded by the large visor. Customers have also noted that the peak doesn’t create too much buffeting, which can often be a problem with peaked helmets.
