The Scout 2 are winter gloves with a full-length cuff that secures tightly to help fit it inside a jacket sleeve. They’re made mostly from synthetic suede (palm) and textile, with leather reinforcements on the palm and hard knuckle armour. There’s a visor wipe on the left forefinger and the confidence that comes with Gore-Tex rain protection.

As the name suggests, the Arctic Gore-Tex gloves are designed for riding in cold weather and there’s much praise for the weather protection they offer. They’re short-cuffed summer gloves that give great flexibility, with a synthetic suede palm and textile backhand with hard knuckle armour. The first 10 owner-reviewers all awarded a maximum rating of five, which is a very good start. Buyers are universal in praising the way these lightweight gloves give great feel for the bike’s controls.

With full marks from the first six reviews these Held gloves have done a good job of keeping the worst of the rain out. Made from a mix of stretch fabric and goat leather and designed for warm weather riding, customers have found the gloves to be extremely comfortable, if a little hot in temperatures above 20°C. One reviewer noted that the touchscreen technology on the fingers works well, and that the overall build quality is excellent.

Rukka are well known for making motorcycle equipment that keeps the worst of the weather out, so it’s no surprise to see these winter gloves have a maximum of five stars from the first six reviews. So far all our reviewers have been impressed with the waterproofing, warmth and comfort of these gloves, although one customer noted they ordered a size larger than normal for a better fit. A couple of reviewers found the double cuff system a little fiddly, but ultimately were glad that it kept out the rain.
