Adventure boots need to be tough, sturdy and able to tackle all kinds of weather conditions

Our guide to the best adventure boots is based on reviews left by Sportsbikeshop customers, and could help you find the perfect pair for your next journey…

Sidi Adventure 2 Gore-Tex Boots

If you can look (or hear!) past the infamous ‘Sidi squeak’, then these boots are highly recommended by Sportsbikeshop customers, who gave them a mighty 4.9-star average from the first 186 reviews. People say the boots offer a great amount of protection and the waterproofing is excellent thanks to the Gore-Tex membrane. They recommend going up a size if you have wider feet, though.

Forma Adventure Leather Boots

Sportsbikeshop customers highly rate the Forma Adventure boots, giving them an average of 4.8 stars from the first 183 reviews. They say the boots are comfortable straight out of the box, require little breaking in and do not compromise on the feel for the gearshifter. The boots are complimented on their accommodation for wide feet and larger calves, but many recommend that riders go up a size from their usual.

Alpinestars Corozal Adventure Boots

Sportsbikeshop customers say the Corozal boots generously accommodate larger calf sizes, and that they’re extremely comfortable once you get past the inevitable breaking-in period. It’s noted that even though they appear to be rigid, they’re actually incredibly flexible. Their waterproofing, provided by the Drystar liner, is also complimented. From the first 17 customer reviews, these boots have a very respectable average rating of 4.8.

Expensive doesn’t necessarily mean better, as these budget adventure boots from Richa prove. With an average rating of 4.76 stars from the first 13 reviews, customers were full of praise for the comfort and fit of the boots, as well as the ease of use of the chunky fastening system. Users also found the Hipora waterproof liner to work well, keeping their feet dry and warm in downpours.

Falco Avantour Evo Boots

These boots haven’t had many reviews yet, but the reviews that have come in are full of praise. A couple of reviewers noted that the boots require a short break-in period, but after that are comfortable both on and off the bike. The mix of velcro and clasp fastenings left one customer feeling much more secure and protected than in their previous boots, while another customer credits these boots with keeping his feet and lower legs protected during a crash.
